Imaging Services Available at KMC
X-ray:
- An x-ray exam produces pictures of the body’s structures. This procedure
is often used to help identify and diagnose injuries or locate foreign
objects in soft tissues.
CT scanning:
- A computed tomography (CT) scan is a diagnostic imaging test used to produce
detailed images of the body’s organs, bones, soft tissues, and blood vessels.
Mammography screening:
- A mammogram is a low-dose x-ray used to examine breasts for cancer and
other diseases. Early breast cancer detection can save lives, and an annual
mammogram starting at age 40 is recommended for every woman. We offer
digital mammography services, which produce clearer images and allow for
easier transfer among medical professionals for multidisciplinary care.
Ultrasound:
- Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce clear pictures of the body’s
soft tissues and internal structures. This procedure does not use ionizing
radiation and has no known harmful effects.
