IN-HALE (Home) Respiratory Program

Caring for you between clinic visits

Your doctor believes you could benefit from participating in our IN-HALE (home) program which is designed to ensure you receive the highest quality of care even when you are away from the clinic.

The IN-HALE program is a Remote Monitoring Program which allows our skilled clinical team to remotely monitor your condition by reviewing key indicators such as your wheeze rate and listen to breath sounds for wheezing – all from the comfort of your own home. Your doctor will review your data and can adjust your treatment plan as needed.

How will the program benefit me?

By participating in the IN-HALE program, your doctor can monitor your data remotely which allows them to recognize changes in the key indicators (i.e. wheeze rate, shortness of breath). This may help reduce or prevent complications and may even reduce the possibility of emergency treatment or hospitalization.

What you need to know:

How the program works:

  • You will be supplied with a medical device (or devices).
  • Using your device(s), you will take daily readings.
  • The device readings are transmitted securely and automatically to our Clinical Care Team and shared with your doctor when the device is connected to the internet.
  • Your doctor will monitor your data on an ongoing basis to check your progress remotely and act on the information received as part of your treatment plan.
  • There will be ongoing collaboration with pulmonologist and your primary care physician.

What happens next?

  1. You will be partnered with your own dedicated Hawaii-based Clinical Care Manager.
  2. They will call you from (808) 752-3759.
  3. Together you will set up your device and get you on the path to monitoring.
